Lynn Kovaly's Obituary
Lynn Kovaly, age 68, of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 5, 1958.
Lynn was the beloved wife of 46 years to Russell Kovaly; the loving mother to Justin Kovaly and Heather (Ron) Kovacs; cherished daughter of Bernard and Ann Marie (Zavetsky) Tirpak and sister of Joyce Tirpak.
Lynn grew up in West Mifflin where she attended local schools. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Pittsburgh and embarked on a rewarding career as a registered nurse, dedicating her talents to UPMC Presby and UPMC Mercy. Her generous spirit and compassionate heart made her not only a beloved figure in the healthcare community but in her personal life as well.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lynn was a deeply caring individual who embraced those around her with open arms. She supported local animal charities and demonstrated a profound love for all beings, especially her dogs, Sophie, Cruz, and Lucky. Lynn enjoyed traveling and more than anything else, the time she spent with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 3:00 -7:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In honor of her generous spirit, Lynn's family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bridges Hospice, 4130 Monroeville Blvd, Monroeville, PA 15146 or to St. Michael Orthodox Church, 424 9th Avenue, McKeesport, PA 15132.
