Lynda Lee South's Obituary
Lynda Lee South, age 73, of Bethel Park, passed away suddenly from natural causes on May 12, 2020.
Lynda is survived by her beloved sister, Maryann (Jan Edward) Rihs; two nieces, Kristen Rihs and Rebecca (Justin) Galloway; great-niece, Leah Galloway; great-nephew, Alexander Galloway; aunt and godmother, Mary J. Klein; uncle Bill Schohn; brother in-law Art South; fur-baby Shayla Jean; lifelong friend Ruth (Robert) Pollice; as well as many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David South; and parents, Robert and Betty Seibel.
Lynda was happily employed for many years at the Oakland-Aspinwall Veteran's Hospital, working with the in-home services program for the elderly. After attending Carrick High School, she graduated with her Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. She loved to swim and bowl and enjoyed an active lifestyle in her earlier years. In her last three years, she made many friends at the Bethel Park Retirement Community. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Services are private and have been entrusted to the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Christian Mass in her memory will be held at a later date.
