Lydia Doleno's Obituary
On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side. Lydia was born in Hazelwood in 1937 to the late Benjamin and Mary (Bennett) Nagy and was known by her family and friends as Boots. Wife of the late William (Bill) for 56 years. She was the devoted mother of Deborah (the late Patrick) Larkin, Lori (William J.) Wasko and Cheryl (Stanley) Nedzesky. She is the beloved grandmother of Nicole (Tanny) Deliere, Michael (Luca) Larkin, William C. (Amber) Wasko, Joseph Wasko, Heather (Daniel) Santo, Michelle (Matthew) Federer and Corrine Nedzesky. She is the proud great grandmother of Kyle and Olivia Deliere, and Emily Wasko. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of another great grandchild, Baby Boy Larkin. Boots is the youngest sister of George (the late Betty), Joseph (the late Donna) Nagy. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, the late Alec (Helen), Stephen, Albert (Bobbie), Benjamin, William, Elmer (surviving spouse Jane), Frank (surviving spouse Donna) Nagy, Ida (Walter) Butler, Helen (Philip) Lott, and Catherine Metzger. She is also survived by her brother-in-law John Doleno, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Boots will be missed by her long time neighbors. Her family moved to South Park where she graduated from Snowden High School. As a full time homemaker, she loved cleaning her house, listening to her music, sports, and most of all caring for her family. She was a former member of the Bethel Park Gold Card Club. Family and friends will be received Sunday, May 20, 2018, 2 pm - 4 pm & 6 pm - 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz
