LuAnne Cress-Dailey's Obituary
LuAnne Cress-Dailey, known affectionately as Anney, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on March 21, 1960, in Grove City, PA, she lived a life full of love and adventure.
Anney was the devoted wife of Peter Kazimer for nine wonderful years. She was the sister of Jack (Dottie) Cress, Patti (Richard) Burke, and Peggy (Dennis) Levin, and an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Anney was preceded in death by her late husband, Paul Sherman Dailey, her parents Lewis and Sarah Cress, and an infant daughter.
Anney was an alumna of Slippery Rock University, where she earned her BA in Liberal Arts. She was also a U.S. Army Veteran, demonstrating her courage and dedication to her country. After her service, she spent many years working as a Dietary Aid in the medical field, and she worked for Long John Silver in Heidelberg, where she was known as “Miss Anney”.
Anney had a great love for animals, especially her half chihuahua, half miniature pinscher named Buddy. Her love for Buddy was a testament to her kind and nurturing spirit. She also had a passion for cinema, making it a tradition to go to the movies every Tuesday. Anney was an avid Sudoku player, always up for a challenge and never backing down from a difficult puzzle. She loved traveling and even embarked on a cross-country road trip with her husband Peter, embracing the beauty and diversity of the country she loved.
Friends and family will be received on Friday July 28th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday July 29th, at 12pm. The service will be officiated by Anney’s Brother-in-Law, Reverend Dennis P Levin. Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.

In her passing, we remember not just the end of a life, but the beautiful and loving spirit that was Anney. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Anney will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
