Louise M. "Chickie" Brust's Obituary
Age 84, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly from Bethel Park, passed on April 21, 2017. Chickie was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Brust. Loving mother of Gary (Marcela) Brust, Holly (Patrick) Aarons and Julie Young; grandmother “Gee Gee” of Ian, Gioia and Chiara Brust, Nathan, Mitchell, Jared, Russell and Maggie Aarons and Trevor, Tatum, Tempest and Siobhan Young. Chickie is survived by her sister, Gloria “Toots” Ernst and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Chickie was a homemaker and mother who moved many times through her husband’s travels with Alcoa. She had a great sense of humor and was known for her “Chickie-isms” which will go on to influence many generations. Her hobbies included bridge, bowling, cooking, decorating and anything creative. Besides her family, Chickie’s favorite things were Coca-Cola™, Hershey’s™ Chocolate and any casino with a slot machine. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, 15236, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Louise Brust to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrfcure.org) or by mail to BCRF, 60 East 56th Street, 8th Floor, NY, NY 10022.
