I worked with Lou at the Bettis Laboratory (a long time ago). I was a young kid back in those days, and I quickly learned that he had the kind of deep competence I wanted to emulate. He was kind, warm, funny, and he had a great accent. My condolences to his friends and family, and I look forward to seeing him again.

I had the pleasure of Lou working in my group at the Bettis Laboratory for many years. He was an outstanding employee and the quality of his work was always excellent. If Lou said it, it was so. He was a true gentleman and treated everyone with respect. I am glad to see he lived a long life, but still it is sad to hear of the passing of such a fine man.
Uncle Louis was a wonderful man who loved God and family. I will always remember my trips to Pittsburgh as a child spending time with Uncle Lou and Aunt Mary. He really opened up a bigger world for me and I always respected his accomplishments and his strong commitment to family. Rest in Peace.
Lou was a wonderful man who, as the obituary says, showed his faith in all he did. His smile, his accent, and his love for everyone were a few things that made him who he was. I was fortunate enough to know Lou for many years as a fellow member of Pittsburgh Baptist church. One thing I remember was that he always had peppermints in his pocket and gave them to anyone. It was just something about him. We will miss him but do know that although it was a sad day on earth it was a glorious day in Heaven as Lou was welcomed home.
