Lorraine Lucille Little's Obituary
Lorraine Lucille Little, 93, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at St. Clair Hospital, while surrounded by her three loving daughters.
She was born on October, 27, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest child of the late Marion and Lena Ghezzi. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Little, and by her four brothers and five sisters.
Lorraine was industrious and hardworking, rising through the ranks of Fisher Scientific, from typing pool to administrative assistant for the executive team. Later in life, she became a medical transcriber at Garrett County Memorial Hospital which led to becoming the hospital administrator’s assistant.
Lorraine and family spent many summers at the house she and Don themselves built at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. She enjoyed hosting large gatherings of friends and family at their lakefront home, walking daily through the State Park while singing and whistling, and making a commitment every summer to water ski, even into her 70’s. Lorraine and Don moved full-time to this home in 1980.
Following her retirement, Lorraine and Don for many years volunteered their time to build homes for Habitat for Humanity. Both were members of the Oakland Church of Christ since 1985.
Lorraine is survived by her three daughters, Leslie Little-Rudat and husband, Bob, Bethel Park, PA; Renee Adalbert and husband, Leo, Doylestown, PA; Marsha Goulding and husband, Phil, Marshall Township, PA; six grandchildren, Christopher Rudat and wife, Rachel; Michael Rudat and wife, Adriana; Jenna Adalbert; Ryan Adalbert and wife, Emilee; Samir Jindel and wife, Helenmarie; Surina Jindel; and one great grandson, Bentley Adalbert.
Lorraine will be laid to rest, next to her husband of 61 years, at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Jefferson Hills, PA. A service celebrating Lorraine’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Habitat for Humanity.
