Lola DeVentura's Obituary
Lola M. (Taylor) DeVentura, of Clairton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday January 7, 2019. Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Gino DeVentura. Mother of Lana (Guy) Perry and Bonnie (Jack) Peterson. Grandmother of Jake Peterson (Lauren Adams) and Jess Peterson (Corey Swickline). Lola was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Ruth M. (Whyel) Taylor and her brother, George Taylor, Jr..
Lola was a member of and a Sunday School Teacher for 44 1/2 years at Mel Hileman Ministry Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Charleroi. She taught Bible Study at Clairton Recreation Center, was a member of Crime Watch and served on the Clairton Personnel Board. Lola served for 50 years with the Girls Scouts and enjoyed baking and decorating wedding, anniversary and birthday cakes and chocolate candy for friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel. Online condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
