Lois A. Pyeritz's Obituary
Lois A. Pyeritz, age 95, of Overbrook, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Roy C. Pyeritz and by her son, Roy E. (the late, Karen) Pyeritz.
Lois was the loving mother of Kenneth (Grace) Pyeritz, Vicky (Robert) Moreno Sparber, Mark (Christine) Pyeritz and Gail (Steve) Trunk and the cherished grandmother of 15 and 3 bonus grandchildren. She also leaves many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren whom she adored. Also surviving is her sister, Virginia Neville.
Lois enjoyed the time spent with her faithful furry companion, the late Panda, offering the same love and devotion to Panda that she did to all who were blessed to have her in their life. She will be deeply missed by all those who love her.
Lois was the embodiment of what it meant to be a dedicated homemaker. Her devotion to her family was unmatched. Lois found the greatest joy in caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a remarkable baker and if you were ever in the need for a recipe, Lois was the person to go to. She was a caring person who always would lend a listening ear to anyone who needed her. She gave excellent advice when needed and always knew just what to say.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Monday, December 16, 2024. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers or gratuities, the family requests that you spend an evening out together with your family in Lois' honor.
