Lloyd John Fenstermaker's Obituary
Mr. Lloyd John Fenstermaker, 86, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Maplewood at the Stony Hill Senior Assisted Living Community. He was born on Friday, May 6, 1932 to Lloyd Hostetter Fenstermaker and Lydia Elizabeth Schlapp Fenstermaker. Mr. Fenstermaker graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1954 and served as a First Lieutenant Unit Commander in the United States Army Corp of Engineers from 1955 to 1957. For most of his career, Mr. Fenstermaker worked as an engineer at the United States Steel Corporation.
Mr. Fenstermaker was buried next to his late wife, Sue Carolyn Scott Fenstermaker, at the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA, on Saturday, June 16, 2018. A devoted husband, father and grandfather who took every opportunity to protect his loved ones, Mr. Fenstermaker is survived by his three children, Scott, Stephen and Martha, and by six grandchildren, Ashley and Elena (Scott), Vitor and David (Stephen), and Baron and Bryson (Martha).
