Ljubica Popovic's Obituary
Ljubica Popović, 54, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, after a tough battle with the flu/pneumonia. She was surrounded by family.
Ljubica was born on November 1, 1971, to Anto and Ankica Popović in Zenica, Bosnia. There she spent time learning traditional Bosnian recipes from her mother and growing her passion for feeding her family and friends. In 1997, she immigrated to Pittsburgh, PA, USA with her son, Darmin. In addition, she loved her family fiercely and always cherished the time spent with her sons and grandbabies. She will be deeply missed by all those she leaves behind.
Ljubica is survived by her children, Darmin Gluhic (Sanela) and Sandi Gluhic; her sisters, Lucija and Maja; her brothers Emil and Danijel; her grandchildren, Emina, Esma, and Kenan Gluhic; her nieces, Andrea (Goran) and Ivana (Ivica); her nephew, Borna; her great-nieces, Alanja and Laura; and her great-nephews, Moreno and Adrian.
She is predeceased by her father, Anto Popović; her mother, Ankica Popović; and her daughter, Arijana.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service in honor of Ljubica will be held in the chapel at the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Burial will be held privately.
