It was with sadness that I learned of the recent death of my Brentwood High School (BHS) Class of 1965 classmate, Linda Winter. Mike Davic, our class's database manager, shared Linda's obituary from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette with me.
During our senior year at BHS, Linda and I were both in the same home room section with Mrs. Nassikas. While there, Linda proved to be a good friend to me. As Linda noted in my 1965 yearbook, The Anthem, I never could hear the morning announcements over the public address (P.A.) system clearly. As a result, I often asked Linda to repeat them, which she did cheerfully even I am sure it was a bother for her.
Having lost my dear first wife in death back in 2006, I know that now is not an easy time for Linda's survivors. Thus, I pray that all of you may draw comfort from the support that God can provide you. See Psalm 94:18-19. In addition, may you draw support from each other as you recall with appreciation Linda's fine qualities of warmth, compassion, and hospitality.
Please accept my deepest sympathies at this most challenging for all of you.
