Linda L. Smith's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda L Smith, age 73, on October 5, 2024. A beloved sister-in-law and friend, Linda leaves behind a legacy of strength, determination, and compassion.
Linda enjoyed a successful career as an executive with GNC for over 15 years, where her leadership and dedication made a lasting impact. After her time at GNC, she embraced new challenges as a business owner, thriving for over five years in her entrepreneurial pursuits. Her hard work and passion allowed her to retire early, a gift she cherished as it enabled her to support and care for her family.
A lover of history, nature, and wildlife, Linda found joy in exploring the great outdoors and traveling to new places. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her competitive nature, as she thrived in sports and activities that challenged her. Music was another profound passion; she was a talented singer who performed with a traveling group, sharing her love for melodies and connecting with audiences. Her enthusiasm for history was evident in her desire to share her knowledge with others.
Linda’s lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ enabled her to face her many challenges with strong faith and unwavering conviction.
Linda was known for her unwavering support, generosity, and love. She had an incredible ability to uplift those around her, always ready with a kind word or helping hand. Her legacy lives on through sister-in-love, Jana Smith, heart-sister, Traci (Garry) Griffin, McKensie, Cassidy, and Tucker, and her many dear friends who will forever remember her strength, nurturing, and compassionate spirit.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the many friends who cared for her, notably Beth Jones, Dolly McCrea, Colleen Cingel, Scott Brown and Bravo, and Donna and Ed Kott.
Linda cherished her special relationship with Mason Jones and their many conversations about history, music, politics, and life in general. Mason, you kept her on her toes!
