Linda L. Muir's Obituary
Linda Lloyd Muir, of South Park, passed away on December 17, 2020 due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease, which she courageously battled for over thirty years. She was predeceased by her parents, John R. Lloyd, Jr. and Aleene Mitchell Lloyd. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence L. Muir, devoted children Lawrence L. “Chip” Muir, Jr. and Anne C. Meikle (Thomas), and her cherished grandchildren, Tommy and Kate. She is also survived by her siblings, John R. Lloyd III (late Barbara) and B. Diane Littell (Robert) and numerous nephews and nieces. Linda was a graduate of West Virginia University and received her master’s degree from Duquesne University. She was a former elementary school teacher at South Park and loved working with children. She was active in her community and coached basketball, softball, volleyball, and soccer. Linda’s life was a testament to courage, kindness, and compassion. She found goodness in everyone and genuinely cared for people. Linda loved to spend time with her family on the Outer Banks beaches creating memories with her grandchildren. An extraordinary person, Linda was a talented artist in many mediums and always sought to design new craft projects. She enjoyed creating her beautiful garden and attracting many varieties of birds and butterflies to her yard. Linda’s life was filled with love for her family and friends and she will be sorely missed. Funeral services are private due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
