Linda M Martelloni's Obituary
Linda M. Martelloni, 84, of Jefferson Hills, PA, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on June 24, 1942, in Pula, Italy, and bravely traveled to the United States at the age of 9, arriving by ship on Ellis Island. Linda spent her childhood in Pittsburgh, PA, spending time in both the Bloomfield and Pleasant Hills neighborhoods.
Following her graduation from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960, she met the love of her life, Alvaro Martelloni, while on a family vacation in Rome, Italy. In June of 1963, Linda and Alvaro married. Together, they created a haven filled with love, nurturing their three children and embodying the essence of family. Linda's proudest achievement was her role as a mother, where she cultivated a warm and loving environment, shaping the lives of her children with grace and wisdom.
Linda dedicated over 25 years of her life to serving the community at Jefferson Hospital, where she became a familiar and cherished presence. Her commitment to helping others did not end with her retirement, as she continued to volunteer her time and energy, embodying the spirit of compassion that defined her life.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Alvaro Matelloni; her loving children, Lisa (David) Langrell, Milena (Kevin) Lyons, and John Martelloni; cherished grandson, Matthew Langrell; loving step-grandchildren Shayna White, Travis Lyons, and Weston Lyons; as well as many extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation Thursday, July 30, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236. A blessing service will take place on Friday, July 31, at 10:00 AM in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
