Lillian Wampler's Obituary
Lillian Wampler, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born on August 3, 1935, in West Mifflin, the loving daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Makroczy) Puspoki. She was a graduate of Munhall High School and attended West Penn to receive her nursing degree. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Floyd J. "Jim" Wampler. Lillian touched many lives throughout her long career of 60 years as a registered nurse, retiring at age 79. Throughout her career she worked for several hospitals including McKeesport and Monongahela and later went on to work as a visiting nurse through home healthcare as well as the Area Agency on Aging. She will be remembered for her warm and caring personality, and ability to make those around her feel comfortable. Lillian was a true animal lover, having many four-legged and two-legged friends throughout her life. Lillian is survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) Bishop; two daughters, Karen (Pat) Yohe and Lynne O'Bradovich; her grandchildren, of whom she adored, Melissa (Todd) Guenther, Beckie (Matthew) Bujanowski, and Jim Yohe; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Kaia and Kane Guenther. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Jim. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
