We lived across the street from Lillian and I grew up with Mellie. Lillian and my mother were best friends...talking every day on phone for two or more hours. They played together in a neighborhood bridge club and since my mother didn't drive, Lillian was always willing to pick us up at school or do errands for my mother. After I finished grad school and was doing a museum internship at an area musem Lillian opened her house to me for several months when my folks were relocated to Texas. After my parents passed away Lillian and I kept in touch through birthday and Christmas cards. She was a wonderful giving person and my sympathies to her family. Lillian had a life well lived and I know she will be missed. She was a wonderful friend to our entire family. Kay Zuris
