Leonard J. Staley II's Obituary
Age eighty of Finleyville died Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills. He was born May 2, 1941 in Monongahela, PA, the son of Leonard Staley and Alberta Winifred Hoffman. Mr. Staley was an Inside Sales Representative for over thirty years with the United States Steel Corporation. His lifetime devotion was to Boy Scout Troop 1452 in Finleyville where he was Scoutmaster for over thirty years. He also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Finleyville where he served in various capacities including Trustee. Preceding him in death were his first wife Gayle Guarinoni Staley and his son Richard L. Staley. Surviving are his loving wife Patricia, sister Ann Gregg of Finleyville, daughter Marlene Farquhar (Jesse), two sons Steven Tkach (Jennifer) of McDonald and Scott P. Tkach (Elizabeth) of Castle Shannon and two grandchildren Rebecca Federer (Christian) of Monessen and Daniel Farquhar of Speers. Friends and family will be received from 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM on Friday October 22, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A church funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela 609 Chess Street Monongahela, PA 15063 with Reverend Mark Woomer as celebrant. Church requires all attendees to wear a mask. Interment will be held in Monongahela Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Leonard J. Staley II Foundation 5125 Chevy Chase Drive, Finleyville, PA 15332.
