Lawrence Kasiorek's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence" Larry" "Butch" Kasiorek, who left this world on December 21, 2025, at the age of 73. Lawrence was born on October 3, 1952, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring friendships in his beloved Homestead, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife, of 52 years, Kathleen (Reid) Kasiorek, whose companionship and love were a constant source of strength and joy in his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Cheryl (late David) Brendel, Mark (Sonja) and Michael (Linda) Kasiorek; brother in laws Michael Wassil, Jim Reid; niece Jamie (Reid) Sukenik; great nephew Jaxson; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Paul "Casey" and Eleanore Kasiorek and sister Amy L. Kasiorek-Wassil
Larry started working as a welder for US Steel in Homestead, then working at UPMC Shadyside until his retirement after 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, but mainly loved playing with his Lionel Trains and enjoying bagpipe music.
In reverence to his life and in celebration of his legacy, a visitation will be held at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd Pittsburg Pa 15236 on December 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Blessing service will take place at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on December 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Larry 's life.
