Lawrence John Boehm's Obituary
October 29, Lawrence J. Boehm, age 94, of Whitehall Borough, husband of the late Jacqueline (Moore) Boehm; father of Mark (Kellie) Boehm, Daniel (Nanette) Boehm, Sean Boehm and Clare (Emil) Provident; grandfather of Kelsey, Brittany (fiancé Mason), Eric, Anthony, Riley and Alyssa. He is survived by his siblings, Lillian Kocuba (the late Stanley), Georgia Boehm, Carol (Alfred) Funk, Marian (Richard) Mason, Stephen (Lorraine) Boehm; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Coletta Boehm, his sister Viola Kohl (the late Charles), his brother Walter Boehm (the late Ann) and his sister Coletta Roth (the late Robert)
Larry was a member of the Carrick Eagles Aerie 1520, serving as an Officer, President, Secretary, PA District 5 F.O.E., PA State Aerie Officer and President, State Secretary, Treasurer and Eastern Regional President. He served as a Sargent in the US Army, where he received an Occupational Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He was also a dedicated parishioner of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church/Parish - Men's Club, Usher, Council and Lector.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 2nd from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 3rd at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel Church Worship Site, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Research or St. Jude Research Hospital for Children.
