LaRue E. Muellerschoen's Obituary
LaRue E. (Burrell) Muellerschoen, age 95, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Sheraden and Oakwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. LaRue was born on September 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie (Stubbs) Burrell.
LaRue was the loving mother of Suzanne (Dan) Sanko and Paula (Jeff) Scharding; the cherished grandmother of Sarah (Mike) Melilli, Jessica Sanko, and Benjamin Sanko; and the great grandma to Audrey Melilli, whom she adored. In addition to her parents, LaRue was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul J. Muellerschoen.
LaRue enjoyed a career at Federated Investors as a receptionist. In her free time, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed both sewing and needlework. LaRue was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making meals to be enjoyed by her family. Above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her daughters, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Services and burial have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in honor of LaRue may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society.
