Lanny was one of the first guys I met at AB HQ when I started in January 1996. He was a great guy and I learned a lot from him over the years. My condolences to the Frisco Family.
My deepest sympathy to your family. I was a business acquaintance of Lanny and really appreciated working with him. He was a great man and always had a smile. May God be with you during this time and always.
Condolences to Lanny's family. Lanny was a boyhood friend and teammate on our high school football team. Best wishes Tony Pino
Lanny and I along with a 3rd engineer from American Bridge shared an apartment in East Liberty section of Pittsburgh from Nov '71 to May '72. After our 2nd burglary, we all moved out. The thing I most remember about that time was Lanny the hunter bringing deer chops back from one of his hunting trips. Never had deer chops before haven't since. I remember Sue and how every weekend before they were married, Lanny would go home to Altona to be with her. Lanny was an essential part of the surviving part of American Bridge. For those of us who had worked at AB and went our separate ways after the closing of the Fabrication division, we all thank Lanny and the other who stayed and kept the AB name in the construction spotlight. The San Franciso and Tappan Zee replacement projects are prime examples of Lannie's skill and expertise. May God be with Sue and Lanny always.
Competent, accomplished and responsible always come to mind when I think of my cousin Lanny. That’s not to say he didn’t know how to laugh and have fun! But he was a man who took his responsibilities seriously, especially when it came to his family. It was a joy to watch his daughters grow into such well-rounded, successful women. I will miss Lanny, and I am blessed that they are part of my family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Michelle, Lori and Jennifer. If Barrie was not in Florida right now he could share many memories and stories of him and his best friend of 60 plus years. Praying for comfort and peace for you all. Karen and Barrie
Sending our love and prayers to Michelle, Lori, Jennifer and their families. May wonderful memories of your Dad/Pop fill the emptiness of his absence.
