Kenneth L. Weaver's Obituary
Kenneth L. Weaver, 94, formerly of Coal Valley Road, Jefferson Boro, PA, passed away on December 1, 2020.
Ken was born on December 29, 1925 in Forward Township, PA to the late Clarence and Ruth (Forsythe) Weaver.
Ken is survived by his children, Linda (Edward) Weightman and Kenneth L. (Shelly Lupori) Weaver Jr.; granddaughters, Amy (Steve) Hoder and Erin (Keith) Gigliotti; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Haley Woods and Brody Gigliotti; brother, Melvin Weaver; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ken served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a CMT (Combat Medical Technician) in New Guinea. Ken retired after 39 years of service as a computer operator with US Steel Clairton Works. Ken loved spending time with his family at his cabin in Pymatuning, PA. His favorite hobbies were fishing, bowling, traveling and camping in the Airstream. “Tinkering” was his favorite pastime. Ken was a long time Steeler fan and enjoyed watching every game with his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Eleanor Weaver. A brother, Robert Weaver and longtime companion, Gladys Crawford.
Ken will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 6, 2020, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, 11:00 am, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236.
