Kenneth Alan Jenkins' Obituary
Kenneth Alan Jenkins, known affectionately as Ken or "KJ" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 8, 1953, in Spokane, Washington he was the son of the late Harry and Anne Jenkins.
Ken grew up in a loving family and attended Carrick High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships. After graduation, he dedicated many years of service to US Steel Clairton Works as a steelworker, a job he performed with pride and diligence until his retirement. Ken's work ethic and commitment to his colleagues set a standard for all who knew him.
A man of many interests, Ken was an avid golfer and bowler achieving a 300 game. One of Ken's most cherished traditions was the annual trip to Aruba with his beloved wife, Paty. For 23 years, Ken and Paty escaped the winter chill to bask in the warmth of the sun and each other's company. These trips were filled with love, adventure, and the creation of precious memories that Paty will hold dear forever.
Ken's legacy is carried on by his wife, Patricia "Paty" (Stefanko) Jenkins; his daughter, Jolene (Kevin) Dick and her boys, Mason and Marcus Dick of Hempfield Township, PA, and his son, Ken Jenkins, Jr and his children. Ken also leaves behind his sister, Lisa Waggett of West Mifflin, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his siblings, Linda Slavonic and Harry "Buddy" Jenkins.
