Ken Ulrich's Obituary
It is with great sadness that, suddenly, on May 3, 2023, Kenneth "Kenny" Alan Ulrich of Pleasant Hills passed away at the age of 69. Our hearts are broken.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Gayle (Wentz) Ulrich, daughters Laura Bassett (Ben) and Kailee Clipp (James Staph), son of Charles "Glenn" Ulrich and the late Annette (Landy) Ulrich, brother of Faye Liebro (Frank) and Spencer Ulrich. Also survived by his grandsons, Connor Bassett and Easton Clipp, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Kenny served in the US Army as a young man and later worked for the Bureau of Mines. He worked 30 plus years as a US Postal Letter Carrier serving the Pleasant Hills community.
He adored his grandsons and loved spending time with them fishing and doing anything they liked to do. Fishing was a very important part of Kenny's life, and he found that the sport brought him peace, joy, and a feeling of calmness. Kenny also often joined "Glenn" and Spence on walks around North Park meeting new friends along the way.
Kenny loved all sports. He could tell you nearly every score of every game across the country.
He especially was a huge Steeler fan and always the optimistic Pirates hopeful.
Kenny was a sweet, kind, and loving man and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room-always willing to lend a hand to anyone, anytime. He will be dearly missed. The world was a brighter place with him in it.
Family and Friends are welcomed on May 8, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA 15236. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm following visitation in the funeral home chapel. Condolences can be shared at www.jeffersonmemorial.com
