Kathleen M. Thomas' Obituary
Kathy Thomas, 68, of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on May 23, 2022 after a courageous 30-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Rich, with whom she shared 43 beautiful years of marriage, her beloved children, daughter Sara (Bill) Kochman, and son Dan Thomas, and her cherished grandchildren Walker and Alex Kochman. She is also survived by her loving sister Mary (Charles) Ditoro, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Isabelle McTigue and her brother Thomas, Jr.
Kathy was a very caring, generous and sweet person. She had a deep, unshakable faith in God which was evident in the way she lived her life and accepted her final days on earth. The most important thing to her was her family and spending time together with them at home and on many vacations. She had a great love for all types of music but especially country music. She was an excellent seamstress and spent much time crocheting and quilting. She had a fondness for animals especially her dogs and the horses she rode for therapy.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 6-8 pm and Thursday, May 26 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Catholic mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 27 at 10 am at Triumph of the Holy Cross, St. Thomas a Becket Worship Site, 139 Gill Hall Rd., Jefferson Hills, PA 15025.
Interment will be at the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery 401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236
