Karla F. Kostuch's Obituary
Karla Fay (Geiger) Kostuch, age 78, beloved wife of Gregory C. Kostuch, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Karla was born on December 8, 1945, in Monongahela, PA, the loving daughter of the late Charles and Keren Geiger.
Karla grew up in Jefferson Boro where she attended local schools, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School. Karla enjoyed a career in C.O.E. order entry with Harbison Walker Refractory. In her later years, Karla enjoyed studying the genealogy of her family. Her greatest joy was found in the time spent and memories made among her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Gregory, Karla is survived by her beloved daughter, Toni (Donnie) Gooch; her cherished grandchildren, Tara (Ryan) Ferguson, Taylor (Logan) Minkus-Poff, and Gregory Gooch; and her great granddaughter, Fern Ferguson. She also leaves her twin sister, Karen Russo.
In addition to her parents, Karla was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Geiger.
Relatives and friends are invited to join with the family for visitation from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A blessing service will begin in the chapel at the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Burial is to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Karla may be made to the American Cancer Society.
