My deepest sympathy for the loss of your loving wife and mother. My heart broke when I heard the news today. I haven’t seen Karla in sometime but I always smile when I think of her. May all the loving memories bring you peace and strength.
Joe, Sarah, Ben, Debbie, I had the extreme privilege of calling Karla a friend. I know I will not be alone in missing every wonderful thing about her. She was a huge bright light that can never be replaced. So strong, so tough, and at the same time; the ultimate softy - such a huge heart. Some of my best conversations were had with her and I will forever miss my \"morning Latte's with Karla\". She could make me laugh till my stomach hurt, she could frustrate me till I wanted to ring her neck, and she could make me feel like the most important person in the world... all in the same conversation. She was truly a great lady who made my life brighter just by knowing her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and I am genuinely sorry for such a terrible loss.

I worked six-plus years with Karla at Lachel & Associates. She was a joy to work with, produces outstanding work, and taught me much of what I know about CAD. This is very sad news and wish you all the best.

I had the pleasure of working with Karla back in the 80's at Steel City Midland Ross. She was a hard worker, always ready for laughter and a great person to hang out with. Hi Joe, This is Dave Kelly. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of our childhood together. I can hear Karla's raspy voice and easy genuine laughter. I cannot imagine the feelings you must be going through but I just wanted to let you and your family know I'm sorry and that you and Karla bring a peaceful and joyful memory to mind for me. Catching frisbee at the Jr. High with Karla and Lois Keener is something I will never forget. Those were great times.
