Judith "Judy" Cathcart Jaskulski's Obituary
Judith “Judy” Cathcart Jaskulski, age 79, of West Mifflin (formerly of Duquesne), passed away suddenly at home on July 26, 2020. Loving wife of the late James “Chips” Jaskulski. Treasured mom of Jodi (Tim) Mulvihill and Jami (Mike) Vargo. Grandmother of Alaina and Ryder Mulvihill & Tyler and Taylor Vargo. A Grove City College graduate, Judy began her teaching career at West Mifflin North High School and continued until retirement at Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School. She was admired and touched the lives of countless students. She was also a long-time member of Lebanon Women’s Club. Judy shared her God-given musical talents by serving as the organist at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. This was her weekly “gig” –she was moved by music and enjoyed listening to it, dancing to it, and playing it. Judy loved to travel to tropical places-some favorite destinations included Hawaii, Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico. She always looked forward to testing her luck on her yearly girls’ trip to Vegas. An angel on earth, Judy meant the world to her daughters. Grandma Judy absolutely adored her grandchildren, and they cherished each other and the time they spent together. Grandma will also be missed by her “grand-dogs,” Kimo & Levi. Always living life to the fullest, she was a beautiful soul both inside and out. We are all blessed to have had Judy in our lives.
Visitation with social distancing will be held on Thursday, July 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, 15236. Funeral service will be held privately. Interment to take place at Jefferson Memorial Park.
