Joyce Ann Wall Fernacz, age 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away on September 16, 2019. Joyce is survived by her beloved Husband of 55 years, Jerald Fernacz; Mother of Jamie (Tony) Sauro, James Fernacz, and Julie (Kevin) Simurda. Grand Read Obituary

My sympathy to the Fernacz Family. It has to be almost 50 years ago that they moved into the neighborhood. Growing up less than 100 yards from them, I saw them often. Joyce always had a smile on her face with a warm and friendly hello. I worked for Joyce and Jerry at Patio Pizza when I was a young man and I thank them both for the job and what I learned from them.

Phil and I offer sincere condolences to Jerry and the family for the loss of one so dear. Joyce and were childhood friends. I have many memories of being at her house before her mom and dad passed away laughing at the antics of her parakeet. We traveled most days together via the streetcar along with another friend to our high school which was several miles away from our homes. Joyce was sweet yet strong when she needed to be. Jerry was the love of her life from the moment she met him. He could make her laugh in an instant. Though we had lost touch over the years, I always remember Joyce with great fondness. May she Rest In Peace and enjoy the presence of her parents whom she lost at such a young age. 💕
