Joseph E. Zukiewicz, Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph E. Zukiewicz, Sr., 80, of South Park, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 12, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan (Buck) Zukiewicz; children, Patricia (David) Kinneer, Joseph (Pam) Zukiewicz, Jr., Nancy (Rich) Perdziola, and Christine (Todd) Irwin; grandchildren, Anne (Jake) Miller and Sarah Kinneer, Matthew, Erin, and Jason Zukiewicz, Alexander, Nicholas, and Grace Perdziola, and Daniel, Kate, and Joseph Irwin; siblings, Russell C. Zukiewicz and Roberta Carmen; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph V. and Elizabeth Zukiewicz. He started off in business with his father in 1966 as one of the original owners of the Shop 'n Save group, and was the owner of the Baldwin Shop 'n Save until he retired in 2015. He enjoyed his many years in the grocery business with his family, employees, and many loyal customers. Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 15, 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 16, 9:30 AM at Nativity Parish, South Park. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
