Joseph J. Sansone's Obituary
Joseph J. Sansone, 88, of Pittsburgh, PA. passed away on February 16, 2026.
Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. After his service, he worked as a Registered Electrician and a Pittsburgh Police Officer for over 35 years. In his personal time, Joseph enjoyed restoring cars and took great pride tending to his garden. He and Mary also loved to travel every Summer to Tionesta with the kids and grandkids; to hunt, fish and make memories together. Family was the most important part of Joseph's life and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary A. Sansone; children Raymond (Colleen) Sansone, Debra Jenkins and Joseph (Colleen) Sansone; grandchildren David (Molly) Jenkins, James (Erica) Jenkins and Dominic Sansone; great-grandson Levi; siblings John (Emily) Sansone and Helen (the late Jim) Sansone; and a niece and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph P. and Helen Sansone.
Friends and family will be received from 3-8pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Blessing Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
