Joseph P. Rudolph MD's Obituary
Dr. Rudolph, 75, of South Park, PA passed suddenly on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born on September 15, 1950 in Wilmington DE, Dr. Rudolph later moved to Irwin, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and later Hershey Medical School. He began his life of service in the Navy, later moving to Pittsburgh where he worked in various area emergency rooms, notably ER director at Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Rudolph started his private practice, Family Professional Center in June of 1985. Dr. Rudolph stayed active year round with his equally adventurous wife by scuba diving in the cold months and tandem cycling whenever and wherever possible. He was a dedicated supporter of the Western Pennsylvania Trail System and South Park Meals on Wheels.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Pauline, he is survived by his loving wife Barbara, brother James, daughter Danielle (Bill) Brochu, and son Nicholas (Laureen). He was a loving GPa to his 9 grandchildren: Ella, Kacy, Lily, Felicity, Liam, Elliot, Owen, Madeleine and Everett. He was a proud doctor to over 12,000 patients with a dedicated staff of 6 fantastic women.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236 A celebration of life is scheduled for November 8, 2025, from 1 to 4 pm at Salvatore's (5001 Curry Road Pittsburgh 15236). Anyone whose life was impacted by Dr Rudolph is invited to attend.
