The Connors Family
Tucked into our hearts and minds is the treasure chest filled with memories that include Joe, Mary Lou, Nick and Mike: splashing in the pool, calling from the kitchen window, standing in the driveway, leaning into the car window for a gentle conversation. Home was home to the whole Connors family partly because of the constancy and dependable outpouring of love from the Mangeiri family. I remember the great comfort they all were to us when we lost our mother suddenly over twenty years ago. The slapping of the screen door in the kitchen, followed by one of their voices was such a warm and melodic gift to us. The wafting of freshly baked bread through the door, the tasty nurturing of our bellies and our souls, coupled with kind and sincerely interested conversation...these were the ever present gifts that came with good neighbors. We were blessed to live next door for so long, and will always consider you our most intimate friends. Our hearts ache at the immense loss. And yet they rejoice in the knowledge of our Savior and a promised reunion with Joe and all others we hold dear.
