Joseph G. Kosor's Obituary
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, Joseph "Joey" Kosor, loving son, husband, and fur-baby daddy, passed away at age 56. Joseph was born on August 30, 1962 in Jeanette, PA to his beloved parents, Joseph and Isabelle (Lengel) Kosor. He received his Master Vehicle Adjustors license from Val Tech in 1985 and worked for State Farm Insurance and Nationwide Insurance for 20 years. On May 21, 1994, he married the love of his life, Renee Elizabeth Geyer. They never had any children, but were parents to 5 different fur babies, with his Maltese, Shelby, surviving him. Joseph inherited a passion for classic and new Mustangs from his father, and owned several dozen over his lifetime. He was happiest going to car shows and cruises with Renee and Shelby, but most enjoyed buying and selling his cars at auctions. Joey also loved his daily special phone calls with his mother, with whom he shared a special bond. Joseph had an immeasurable wealth of love towards others that God granted him to share so fully and deeply. Even though he never had children, he was a father and mentor to many young people throughout his life. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He will be missed and loved forever. Joseph is survived by his parents; his adoring wife, Renee; his cherished fur baby, Shelby; aunts and uncles, Jonnie (Elaine) and Bill Lengel; cousins; and special family, Joyce, Austin, and Andrew Razo. A Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, from 2-4 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
