Joseph R. Kobelak Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph “Joe” R. Kobelak Jr., 77, of Brownsville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 24, 2024.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Shirley of 55 years; children Patricia (Michael) Hinnebusch, Billie “Josie” (Michael) Biggs, and Christopher (Ashley) Kobelak; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Margaret, Samantha (Andrew), Anne, Hayden, Lance Corporal Hinnebusch Joseph Paul, Colt and Cora; siblings, Carol (Charles) Hensler, Pauline (Steve) Hrynda and Anthony Kobelak.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Kobelak; sister Evelyn Kobelak; and nephew Timothy Kobelak.
Joe took pride in himself, his work and his family. He kept most things in his life private, but there are a few unmistakable things everyone knew about Joe: Above all things, loved his wife, children, grandchildren and dogs. A car enthusiast, he took a special interest in classic cars and was a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club.
His 27 years of dedication to PA American Water earned him the role of Assistant Production Superintendent. Prior to this he had a longstanding career working with US Steel.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 25th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 26th. at 12:00pm.
