Joseph Forrest Doerr's Obituary
Joe Doerr, 87, of South Park, entered into Eternal Rest to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Sandra J. Doerr.
Loving Dad of Eric (Amy) Doerr, Erin (John) Frost and step-dad to Tim (Sherri) Brunner, Jennifer Brunner, and Sarah Brunner. Adored Pap of Zachary (Lindsey) Doerr, Jessica Doerr, Jacob (Charis) Doerr, Micah (Hannah), Nathan Frost, Andrew Frost, Nathan Brunner and Kylee Brunner. Great Pap of Soloman Doerr, Benjamin Doerr, Evelyn Doerr, Madeline Doerr, Cosette Doerr, Kinsley Doerr, Edward Doerr, Charlotte Doerr, and Ezekiel Doerr. Loving Brother of Karl Doerr and Dona Trew. Joe was also survived by extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Clarinda (Lorenzi) Doerr; his father, Woodrow and his mother, Freda (Houdyschell) Unteed.
Joe received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from West Virginia University and proudly served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army. He was active with Masons, Greater South Hills Lodge No. 684 for over 50 years and served as Lodge Master in 1979. Joe taught Sunday School at Whitehall United Presbyterian Church for many years. He also coached / managed Baldwin Whitehall Little League baseball. He had a passion for understanding God's Word, memorizing scripture, studying, and taking notes from his favorite Bible teachers. He enjoyed encouraging family and friends by sending cards, letters and notes. He loved his family and sharing God's creation through outdoor adventures, especially in the mountains of West Virginia.
A Graveside Service will be held on June 18, 2024, 10:30 am at Monongahela Cemetery, 800 Country Club Road, Monongahela Pa 15063. Military Honors to follow.
