Joseph "Joe" Brena, 87, of Baldwin, PA, entered into eternal rest to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sandra (Morrow) Brena. Loving dad of Deborah (West) Smith and Sharon (the late Dane) Poljak. Cherished Pap of Chloe (Evan) Smith, Blake Smith, Dylan (Chris) Poljak, Alena (Ryan) Ochsenhirt, Gage Poljak, and Carly (Jonathan) Poljak. Brother of Sylvia (the late Harry) Maryniak, Alice (the late Jack) Joyce. Brother-in-law, Shirley (the late Bill) Morrow and Larry (the late Karen) Morrow. Joe is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benvenuto Brena and Paulina Armanini Brena Formaini; parents-in-law, Hartzell and Elizabeth Morrow; son-in-law, Dane Poljak; siblings, Teresa (Albert) Bertocchi, Marie Formaini and infant brother, Louis Formaini; siblings-in-law, Vera (George) Boggs, Bob (Babe) Morrow, Janet (Whitey) Gearhart, Chuck Morrow, and Sonja (Red) Connell.
Joe was a proud Veteran serving with the United States Marines. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and being outdoors. Joe enjoyed a good comedy show and telling jokes. Most of all he loved spending time with his family most especially his grandkids. Joe will forever be kept in the hearts of those who love and miss him.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 4 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, 12 pm in the Funeral Home's Chapel.
