Joseph M. Arcuri's Obituary
Joseph Michael Arcuri, of Baldwin, died Thursday July 30, 2020 with his loving wife and son at his side. He passed peacefully into eternal life after his long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Son of the late Gregory “Lou” and Catherine “Kay” Arcuri he was born November 1, 1960 in West Mifflin. Beloved husband of 30 years to Cindy (Vossburg) Arcuri. Together they had one son Gregory William Arcuri. Joe is survived by his sister Denise (Donald) Ashworth; numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe cherished time spent with his family & friends, fishing, golf, tennis and traveling. He was a great cook and loved finding a good restaurant to share a meal. He brought positivity to everyone around him. His smile could light up a room and he always had a good joke ready.
His twenty- five-year career as a teacher and principal leaves a legacy through students, teachers, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary family whom he had the pleasure of serving.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 2,2020 6-8 p.m. and Monday, August 3, 2020 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Thomas a Beckett Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's in Duquesne.
Given the current health restrictions only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time, facial covering are a must and social distancing is encouraged.
