John Edward Zerilla's Obituary
John E. Zerilla, 93, passed away on August 22, 2024 in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on July 25, 1931, to parents John and Katherine Zerilla.
John is remembered by his beloved wife of 68 years, Joann, his children Cindy (Ray) McAnulty and Mark (Marta) Zerilla, his cherished grandchildren Bryan (Samantha) McAnulty, Jessica Zerilla and several great-grandchildren. The cherished memories of John also live on through his extended family, including his nieces, nephews, and particularly his special niece, Debbie. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Katherine Zerilla, and sister, Catherine Marie.
John honorably served his country in the US Coast Guard for 3 years during the Korean War, and following his service, he spent over 50 years working as a Barber.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 27th from 2-8pm; a Parastas service will be at 6pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Pius X Byzantine Catholic, at 2336 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210 on Wednesday, August 28th at 11am.
Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
