Jack Welsh, 66, of West Mifflin, passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2017. He was born on March 12, 1950 to the late John H. and Evelyn Welsh. Jack enjoyed 45 years of marriage to his beloved wife Patricia (Patty Gorman) Welsh. Jack was a loving father to his three sons, Eric J. (Becky), Todd R. (Melissa), Jared J. (Jessica); adored Pappy to Alayna and Aidan Welsh, Jack Welsh and Isabella Bracco, and Evelyn Welsh; brother of Anne Scarpaci, Daniel (Susan) Welsh, Peggy (Steve) Jantz, Kathleen (the late Eric) Gennuso, and the late Leo Welsh; brother in-law, Robert "Skip" (Mary) Gorman; and son in-law of the late Robert and Irene Gorman; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jack had a love for coaching baseball in West Mifflin. Jack was a dedicated, hard-working Millwright at US Steel (Irvin Works) and Chapman Corporation for over 40 years. Jack was a loving and devoted husband and took great pride in his sons and grandchildren. Jack was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6pm to 9pm & Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 9pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205 Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to The Animal Rescue League of Western PA, 6620 Hamilton Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
