John Paul Snyder's Obituary
John Paul Snyder, USAR (Retired), age 91, of Bridgeville passed away on December 26, 2022.
John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Veronica Snyder, his sister, Mary Zangrilli, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline Snyder and his siblings, Carolyn and Matthew Snyder.
John was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He served two years, then entered the United States Army Reserve from which he retired.
John received his undergraduate degree from Albright College followed by his master's degree from the University of Connecticut. He worked until his retirement from the Department of Labor (OSHA) as a Heath and Safety Compliance Officer.
John was an active member in church and community affairs. He was a member of American Legion Post #59 in Mt. Lebanon and a volunteer at the Carnegie Science Center as well as Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
John and Veronica loved to travel, especially to Mexico and Europe with many stops along the way. They also enjoyed classical music and the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet. John was a life-long learner and was always reading a good book.
Family and friends will be received at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 on Thursday, January 5th from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. when a service will be held in the funeral home chapel, officiated by The Rev. Eric M. Rodes, Anglican Parish of Christ the Redeemer, Canonsburg, PA.
