John Quinn
Age 92, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. Loving husband of Norma Mae (Nickmeyer) College; father of John (Donna), Timothy, Kimberly (Daniel) Scabilloni, Scott (Suzanne), and Karla (Levi Littrell) College; grandfather of Luke, Joy, Leah, Skyler, Christy, Tim, Johnathan, Shannon, Nicholas, Amanda, Troy, and Cash; great-grandfather of Cole, Ben, and Marissa; brother of the late Frederick College; son of the late Fred and Mary Ellen (McGuire) College. John served on the USS Langley in WWII, USS Leyte in the Korean War, and in the Air Force Reserve in the Vietnam War. He was awarded multiple medals and commendations. John was a maintenance engineer at Woodville State Hospital for 27 years, Little League and girls softball coach, Scoutmaster of Troop 220, CAP Leader, life member of the VFW Brentwood Post 1810, and a member of SPARKS Model Airplane Club. He loved to build and fly model airplanes. Private Services entrusted to the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236.
