John Gene Plisco Jr.'s Obituary
John (Jake) Gene Plisco Jr., went to be with the Lord Jesus, from the arms of his loving wife on Wednesday, September 29th 2021. His passing was unexpected due to a heart attack. Jake was born and raised in East Pittsburgh and played football as a young man. At his high school, Braddock High, the team held the record of 56 straight wins for a number of years. Jake worked until 2002 at GE and was able to enjoy a long season of retirement with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Allyson Mayer-Plisco, and his cherished children, Carmella Plisco and Kenneth (Alyssa) Plisco, and his one favorite grandson Arlo who called him "Pap Pap". Also survived by his siblings, Larry (Debbie) Plisco and Ron (Faith) Plisco. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents John and Carmella Plisco, as well as his sister, Linda (the late Bob) Snyder.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
