John J. Pajak, 97, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Lincoln Place, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on May 21, 2017. John is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Jean (Noroski) Pajak; daughter, Barbara (Herb) Zehnder; niece, Carol (Ray) Coulter; brother, Henry (Ann) Pajak; grandchilren, Amy (Dave) Gruska and Justin Zehnder; great- grandchildren, Jeffrey and Lindsay Gruska; niece, Jenny (DJ) Kobaly; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Stephania Pajak; nephew, Richard Benney; brothers, Joe, Walter, Steve, Andy, Frank, and Ted Pajak; and sisters, Stephie Benney, Mary Cygnarowitz, and Stella Carignan. World War II veteran, retired in 1981 from the Union Railroad. Previously owned and operated a floor refinishing business. Enjoyed vegetable gardening, playing the PA lottery, cook outs, family gatherings, and ocean vacations with children and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2 PM - 4 PM & 6 PM - 8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM at Holy Angels Church (408 Baldwin Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15207). Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Vets at www.dav.org, or Sister's Place at www.sistersplace.org. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
