John Lloyd Vukovich's Obituary
John Lloyd Vukovich, Sr., age 87 of South Park, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
Beloved husband of the late Dolores Pauline (Awenowicz) of 60 years; devoted dad of Gloria Dawn Stephan, Timothy John Vukovich, John Lloyd Vukovich, Jr., cherished father in-law of Michael Stephan and Susan Vukovich; proud grandpap of Paul Stephan (Liz Walsh), and Blair Stephan (Brittany Migitsch).
He was born June 25, 1934 and was a loving son to his late parents George and Danica Vukovich, cherished baby brother "our Johnnie" to the late Sara Bracalilly, Rose Guerra, Olga Gabocy, Zora Bonomi, and George Vukovich. "Uncle John" to several nieces and nephews, and a great friend "Vuk" to many people. There was hardly anywhere you could go that someone didn't recognize him or know of him.
John was a great bowler, with one sanctioned perfect 300 game as well as several high average, high game, and high series awards over the years. He was a faithful member of the Washington Seventh-day Adventist Church and an avid Bible reader. John had a great sense of humor, could repair almost anything, and had many great stories to tell anyone that would listen.
Family and friends are welcomed on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10 am in the Funeral Home's Chapel.
Interment will be Private at Jefferson Memorial Park.
