John C. "Jack" Walker, Sr.'s Obituary
87, of West Mifflin, passed away on November 27, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1929, to the late George and Christina Walker Sr.. Jack is survived by the mother of his children Carol Walker, two Sons, John Walker, Jr., Scott Walker, and daughter, Karen McCreary; Grandchildren, Sgt. Shawn McCreary, U.S Air Force, Sgt. Luke Walker, U.S Marine Corps, Corrin Walker, Ryan McCreary, Matthew Walker, Jacob Walker, Sofia Walker, and a new Grandchild soon to arrive; Great-Grandson, Eli Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Helen Formoso; Four sisters, Alberta Cole, Eleanor Dye, Dolores Falce, Irene Falce and Two Brothers, Willis and Wilbert Walker. Jack was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, The Elks Club, The Lincoln Place Presbyterian Church, and was a Little League coach and youth football coach for West Mifflin. He was also a veteran of the U.S Army. Jack's greatest joy and pride were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted Friday at 11:30 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Place Presbyterian Church.
