John "Jack" Bennett's Obituary
John "Jack" Bennett, born December 21, 1944, age 77 of Bethel Park (formerly of Carnegie), passed away peacefully at home Thursday, May 26, 2022, with his loving and cherished wife of 32 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bennett by his side.
Survived by Twin Brother, James L. Bennett (Kathy), Sister, Linda Murdoch (the late Brian), Sister In-Law, Janice Korposh (the late Tom), Brother In-Law, James R. Jakomas (Georgette). Step-Father to James T. Barry, Jr. (Terri) and Jeffrey T. Barry (Roni). Five Grandchildren, James T. III, Katie, Tyler, and Megan Barry, and Dannon Johnson. Jack is survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, and many precious friends who he loved dearly.
Preceded in death by his Parents, George and Getrude Bennett; Sisters, Doris Destein (Robert), Lois "Po" Buetzow (Donald), Brother In-Law, John "Sonny" H. Jakomas (Charlotte).
Jack graduated from Carnegie High School, served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era on the USS FD Roosevelt. He retired from Highmark after 25 years and was a member of the OOTB Retiree Club.
Jack and Jackie were blessed to have lived a life of adventure traveling to all 50 US States, 55 Countries, and all 7 Continents. Jack loved to golf, but nothing gave him greater pleasure than spending time with family doing anything and everything.
Jack always said he had a "wonderful life". Jack was a phenomenal Husband and Grandfather. If you weren't laughing at him, you were laughing with him, and his memory will be cherished forever. Until we meet again LVU2810.

Family and friends are welcomed on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 pm and Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 12 to 2 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 2 pm with dear friend Reverend James B. Snyder officiating services in the Funeral Homes Chapel, Military Honors to follow and Taps to be played by Jack's Nephew, David Buetzow.
