John M. Izaj's Obituary
75, of Overbrook, formerly of Allentown, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2018. Husband of 48 years to Eileen (Hutton) Izaj; father of Christine (Eric) Vann and Michael (Cara) Izaj; PapPap of Ethan Vann, Eva Izaj, and Anna Izaj; brother of Mary Izaj and Tom Izaj; and son of the late John and Eva Izaj. John was a Pittsburgh Police Officer and an AirForce veteran who served for 4 years (1960- 1964). God's greatest gift to John was his grandchildren. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with them. He loved going to church every day, going to lunch with his wife, and babysitting his grandkids. He also loved going to the club with his friends and watching the Steelers. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2 pm - 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Norbert's Church in Overbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Apostles Parish or your favorite charity. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
