John "Jocko" Graham, III's Obituary
Graham John "Jocko" III 42, of Jefferson Hills, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2017. Jocko is survived by his beloved Wife of 17 years, Jana Agostini Graham; Children Andrew, Annmarie, and Katherine; Mother, Patricia Callahan Graham; Sisters, Cary (Dale) Fletcher and Kristy (James) Merritt; Parents-in-law Lee and Janice Agostini; Brothers-in-law, Thomas Agostini and Daniel (Dawn) Agostini; Aunt, Sandy Holler; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John Graham, II. Jocko was the President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was appointed by the Governor as a Member of the Aviation Advisory Committee of Pennsylvania, served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Jefferson Memorial Park, a Member of the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators, a Member of the Mon Yough Area Chamber of Commerce, and a Member of the National Business Aviation Association. He was also an advisor and agent for All Pittsburgh Real Estate LLC. As a young man, Jocko earned his Eagle Scout designation. He became a private pilot at the age of 16, and later achieved a commercial license, with multi-engine and instrument ratings. He was looking forward to starting his Certified Flight Instructor training. He volunteered as a Classroom Instructor with Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, and as an assistant coach for many of his childrens' sports teams. Jocko has been an active member of the South Hills YMCA Y-Princess program since 2013 and held the position of Chief of the West Jefferson Hills Hopi tribe as "Chief Broad Wings" with his two princesses, Annmarie "Sparkling Wings" and Katie "Babbling Brook". Family and friends will be received on Monday 1-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC, Pleasant Hills. The family has asked for every one to meet at church for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas A' Becket Church, 139 Gill Hall Rd, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025.
